 No Instruction Given! Feb 19, 2010
With technology today, demostrations of the exercises could be given with verbal instruction. Instead you can click help to "read" the exercise and look at a picture (similar to what would appear in a magazine or on the poster in your drs. office). While Wii Fit goes overkill with the instruction/feedback - this one does not offer enough.
I did get a good workout but found it difficult to get a good score on the exercise b/c I did not receive any feedback on what I was doing incorrectly. All I got was "hey, you came to me. Don't waste my time." or "great job" ...this is all you hear in Jillian's voice. For $39 I expected so much more.

This game is definitely not for someone who isn't serious about losing weight. Jillian Michaels has some amazing workout routines that really get your heart going and your muscles working. I've had it for three days now and can tell you its worth the money. Although the balance board is optional I would suggest having one because a lot of the other exercises require it and it acts as a scale that weighs you. You can even set up your own routine calendar and follow Jillian's diet tips and work out suggestions. Great game. I like it.

I Have heard from a few people that her DVD's are good, challenging and that they leave you feeling good, so naturally I thought that the wii game would be the same.
I was very disappointed to find out with my first work out, that it is not what I want out of a work out game. After it weighs you, you basically are on your own for what you want to do. You have to select every workout you want to do, there is a pause between moves as you have to select another workout, which really kills the mood working out.
I think that it is not user friendly and I think there would have been a better way to set up the game. If you are looking for something that you are on your own as far as selecting a workout, making your own circuit routine and making sure you focus on the right things, then this is the game for you. If you are like me and want something with guidance then I would not recommended this, which is disappointing because I was excited about it. Guess I will see if I can trade it a game store...

This game is not the easiest to program for the resolution section, but the exercises are fun, effective and the fact that there are programmed sessions and session that you can customize is awesome. It keeps things interesting. I would recommend this game to anyone.

We bought this as a gift for a daughter who had wanted to shed a few pounds but really wasn't into real exercise...She absolutely loves this game, program, and has lost about 12 pounds since she started Jillians Fitness Ultimatum on December 26th. Today is February 8...She loves the gift and we in turn love the product..
